Boyden Gray, Attorney for Richard M. Hirschfeld
C. Boyden Gray is currently the United States Ambassador
to the European Union. During the administration of the
first President Bush, Gray served as White House Counsel.
During the incarceration of Richard Hirschfeld in 2004
and 2005, while Gray reportedly represented Hirschfeld
and met with Alberto Gonzales seeking to procure presidential
clemency for Hirschfeld, Gray worked in private practice
in the Washington offices of the law firm Wilmer, Cutler,
Pickering, Hale and Dorr. The U.S. Department of State's
